Watching from the Corner

by Ed   May 8, 2005

Conformity is a downfall indeed,
social anxiety must not exceed,
why are you so calm?
laughing at the unfortunates pauper

The proverbial tide is upon us,
yet heed this warning and try not to fuss,
After all your opinions are judged,
into the corruption of the youth

Riding the tide can be a relief,
of emotions and differences,
to escape the purging of distinction,

I resist this underlying fate,
spiting into the fire,
melting many common misconceptions,
that pertain to the downfall
