Whispers in the silence

by SammiBABY   May 9, 2005

Can you hear that sound?
The one that makes me shake,
The twisted voices calling to me:
“This life is a mistake.”

Can you see me shudder?
As I hear that small voice cry,
“There’s no point in this anymore,
It’s time for you to die.”

Can you feel the panic?
That lies below my skin,
As the voice calls to me:
“You’re never going to win.”

Can you hear what it says?
“You are ugly and so dumb”
Can you hear it’s insults?
it makes my body numb

Can you see my reaction?
As I give in to its game,
And attempt suicide once more,
and fail, I’m to blame.

Can you feel the tension?
That I hold in my heart,
that slowly brings me to pieces,
and breaks me right apart.

These whispers in the silence,
Can you hear this sad reality?
Do you know what they say,
because I’m scared it’s only me.

I don't hear voices, although i used to. my depression talks to me and tells me that life isn't worth it. Thank you for reading!!!!
