I Shall Always Hold You Dear

by Noir Fleur   May 9, 2005

I stand idly aside, day by day.
Waiting for you to come around.
Though, my eyes are drooping,
and I can't hear any sounds.

You torture me with your deep stare
with your haunted, empty eyes.
Your vague, cryptic smile
that varies dramatically in size.

Whenever you walk by,
I feel a sensation of tantalizing.
My heart begins to beat faster,
my hair standing up and rising.

However, you lead me on
making me think you'll come to me
The thought of it makes me sad,
angry, and full of glee.

Perhaps you will finally realize
that I will give my everlasting love.
My heart, my soul, my life.
Until I go up above.

It may take you a day,
a week, a month, a year.
A decade, a century, a millennium...
but I shall always hold you dear.
