Numb And Cold

Numb…just staring, bleary eyed...out into the distance
Mind is racing, filled with thoughts: I’m amazed at IT’s Persistence
Dragging me down, into the depths, of more self persecution
Filling me up with no emotions, it demands my execution

Cold…trembling, frozen inside…burning from self rejection
Mind is spinning, nowhere to go, I can’t find the right direction
For everything I do is wrong, to someone, outside or within
People tell me what is ‘right’, but to IT it is a sin

Some people reach out in the night, to find a helping hand
But I have to, reside with the truth, that no one understands
For if I can’t understand myself, then no one has a chance
So I sit here, feeling numb and cold, staring silently, alone in my trance..
