My Shadow; My Only Griever

I'm all alone
With no one here for me
Nothing but my shadow
My only friend ever to be

Tears roll down my cheeks
Because no one cares
Everyone thinks I'm happy
But none of them are ever there

To hear my silent screams
To sit and watch me cry
I doubt anyone would notice
If I were to simply die

Come, my black shadow
My only friend that's true
Never leaving my side
All I have is you

I'm looking for a shoulder
To cry and lean on
Maybe someone will care
When they find out I am gone

So, dear shadow
Thanks for never leaving
I have a feeling when I go
You will be the only one grieving.
