Heart I Use To Have

Ever notice how when you cut a strawberry in half, it looks like the heart i used to have?

When my world was flawless, and the only odd speckles were the ones in your eyes.

And as i put on my goggles my grey world would subside. Down the yellowbrick road and up into the clouds.

Nothing like this could last forever, Pain is always determined to get out.

Ever notice how a peach could resemble the taste of your lips, the softness of your kiss.

The broken stars in the sky, put there as if by chance. A shooting star flies by and then you miss it in your glance.

Down the rabbithole and into my happy place, the stone crumbles around my heart and all thats left is a trace.

Not of what my heart is, but of what it use to be. No ocean of tears could bring you back to me.

Ever notice how a gasp isn't really a breath unless it seems to be your last? When you suffocate for air cause your heart beats too fast.

A whisper a motion to soft to be heard, is all that i hear when you dont say a word.
