Last flight

by Ryan Parsons   May 10, 2005

Crippled now without wings
waiting here
completely broken down
defenseless again
tear me open
watch me bleed
as the sunlight’s draining from my face
insecurity pouring out

like a bird without wings
you can watch me fly
but now she’s calling my name
I’m reaching for the sky

a screwed up life I’ve been living
Forced to run and hide
Will I crash and burn again
Cause this is my last flight
Cut so deep inside
With scars so thick
My heart’s desire
Is to be with only her
This is my last flight

If I fall now from this height
I’ll be bleeding
Once again just like before
From heart to hand my words will soak
Onto another empty paper
The only way to free my mind
From everything

Like a star without light
I feel I’m burning out
Another taste of darkness
Rains from inside my mind
