Remains the Same

by Unseen Exposure   May 10, 2005

I could say that I tried
But you'd shove it in my face
When I scream and I cry
A mis-fortunate disgrace

I could beg on all fours
Scrape up my dulled knees
And claw with my hands
An unimaginable "Please"

I could wallow and squirm
And choke till I die
Just to get you to notice
How I just went awry

I could break down my words
Until you'd understand
With the crack of my knuckle
And the break of my hand

I could scream bloody notions
And wait for your call
But instead of waiting
I'll beat my head on the wall

I could shout out your ear drums
Even play pretend
Just to find that this madness
Has no guided end

I could bleed you an ocean
A river of salty tears
With colors of darkness
Displaying untainted fears

I could slay you to pieces
And stomp on your brain
With tools to implode you
But things would still be the same.

I love that you display how all hope is lost in this aspect.
The reader feels the utter sense of helplessness when witnessing the piece, for no matter how much pain is concieved by these actions (as is stated) "things will always be the same".
    I loved these lines,
"I could beg on all fours
    Scrape up my dulled knees"
Shows the pleading to an exceed and the desperate attempt for mercy.

    I absolutly loved this stance,
"I could bleed you an ocean
    A river of salty tears
    With colors of darkness
    Displaying untainted fears"
    Beautiful.
