Secret

Secret

I have one secret,
No one knows,
I keep it well hidden,
I don’t let it show.

But still its there,
Hiding in my soul,
But my secret,
Is as black as coal.

Someday people will see,
The inside of me,
They will not be pleased,
They will not agree.

But now that I release it,
I will say it fast,
For it may only be the memory of me,
That will last.

If anyone cared,
I may not be so,
But as no one does,
I should have started this along time ago.

I love the pain,
That the knife brings,
It is my only friend,
It gives me wings.

But now that I have,
Been through the pain,
I want to keep it,
It keeps me sane.

People always say,
“Don’t use the knife”
But I don’t listen,
For it is my life.

My life is the one I want to ruin,
I am the one who should die,
So, don’t tell me to quite,
Or it will be my goodbye.
