Life in Death

by Kevin   May 11, 2005

One day we became conscious and realized in our existence
Without knowing a life ahead full of obstacles and resistance
We trek down our set paths always wanting to wander off course
There lies a scary place at the end that contains a tomb and your corpse
Life is full of pain and joy that blinds us from what lies ahead,
Nothing is worse than the ultimate end, which is something we all dread.
Tomorrow is another day that draws us closer to where we once came
In the end black, white, or asian, we will all end up the same

So why then are we placed here on this earth to live,
When our fate in the end is for our hearts to become inoperative.
Are we all doomed to repeat the life cycle over and over?
Or does there exist a heavenly place for us to crossover?

Those that are least deserving of this fate always go out first
Is this because life favors those that act the worst?
We will miss those that leave us here alone,
But they too are only covered with stone.
