As I sat upon the day;
Watching my life so far away;
I saw a glimmer of what might be;
I saw a calmness spread across my sea.
Hope in my future if I hold this course;
Overwhelming love shall be its source;
Filling my life with flowers that bloom;
Erasing my heart ache, sadness, and gloom.
Hope, the most powerful of things
Has opened my eyes to what the future might bring
Looking to the future and not the past
That realization has come at last
Friends, Family; the things I love
Bring a peace much like the dove
Giving me strength to persevere
Overcome my strife, release my fears
I give thanks to those that care
Want them now to be aware
Love and Hope you have given me
And I proclaim it now for all to see
