I wish we could cuddle all night,
In the back of your car.

And name every star.
We could sit by your lake,
With our feet in the sand,

And we still could hold hands.

With my makeup a mess,
And my hair, soaked and tangled,
Would make your kisses the best.

And you never would judge me,

As I started to mend,
You wouldn’t expect anything,
You’d just be my friend.
I wish that one day,
You’d show up, and we’d go…
