Wreck (pt 2)

by Momentary Relapse   May 11, 2005

I realize that this second part came out way after part 1 but I finally finished it. Read the 1st part please. Enjoy~

A bestial scream erupts this night
He staggers needing to be near
Being forced back away from her
Not knowing how she is being his fear

“Sir calm down!” shouts a woman
“I’m afraid we have some bad news
“Please brace yourself for this”
He bit his tongue to not blow a fuse

These tears he cries fall slowly
He is succumbing to his dread
He blames himself for everything
Knowing only that she is dead

The voices of people surround him
Each trying to reassure and comfort
Brushing aside all their words
He feels only his emotional hurt

He wonders how this could ever be
Hoping this is a dream to soon end
He never meant for this accident
The effects will never mend

He needs to cradle her closer
Wanting her to live once more
Instead he’s pushed into a car
And an officer slams the door

His mind is spinning in turmoil
As he thinks of all he’s done
He never meant for this to happen
He knew this he never won

The lights flashing on the scene
The shrieking sound a busy whine
People speaking to one another softly
Not knowing he wasn’t fine

These last few moments a blur
Fading into his dimming memory
All he can see is her bloodied face
Her little form seeming so lovely
