The gold watch

by Exquisite_Emily   May 12, 2005

The feeling spreads through me,
Like a fire burning gas soaked wood,
It burns me to think about it,
He left during such a hard time,
When sorrow spread through my soul,
When outbursts of hatred leaked out of my mouth
Lies were told in front of me through their teeth,
Everything would be fine, everything would be fixed,
The pain they told me, would be gone,
As they rinsed off the blade,
That would take my leg away,
They told me that the bullet was above my knee,
They told me that they had to pain reliever,
The pain seared through me as they sawed away,
Stopping to rest at the bone,
My once blue blood filtered out, onto the wet grass,
My brain left me in a state of unconsciousness,
My soul adrift with pain,
Slowly it left me,
My heart stopped,
And a lucky man got my gold watch,
The watch from my father,
It was presented to me with these words,
Time is your greatest enemy, always watch it.

Hey it's me again I love this poem, so sad but beautifully written with so much expression! - can you please look for my poem betrayal by minx + pinx. I made a new account so my family and friends wouldn't stumble across the poem cos it's my biggest ever secret and only Jade knows. This is still my main account though. :)
