Fatherly Figure

You hate this whole family,
It’s so often shown.
It’s everyone’s fault,
And it’s never your own.
We all have our problems,
If we’d just fix them up,
This family could work.
And life wouldn’t suck.
We spend all your money,
You hold it so dear,
But I don’t need it more,
Than you need your beer,
And who knows what else,
Cause you’re always downstairs.
Someone needs your help,
But it seems you don’t care.
If we just would try harder,
And fake a couple more smiles…
And do all the housework,
Cause there are piles and piles.
And shut the f--- up,
We’re being too loud.
So you can get wasted,
And loose your head in the clouds.
STOP. PRETENDING.
That this family will work,
There are too many tears.
There’s still too much hurt.
I stick up for one person,
It comes back in my face.
I cant take all this violence.
I feel so out of place.
