Sidewalk

by Joel   May 13, 2005

I'm on the sidewalk and i don't know why i guess I'm not brave enough to step off but i hope one day ill be able to take that one big leap off of the sidewalk
people don't understand they think I'm so brave they think things come easy but the sidewalk is my shelter from the world from life from things that can hurt
the sidewalk is a place i stand when things go wrong a place i hide what's true inside the way i feel the way i am are all a part of my sidewalk
i took a step off my side walk one time and end up flat on my face in the road cars moving fast by me and i couldn't get up not understanding why
i cant believe i let my guard down to get off the sidewalk the place where i fill safe from everything and i just took the one step and i fell
i got use to the sidewalk there i stay for the rest of my life never taking a risk never understand why i couldn't get off my sidewalk
