The little girl

by MissSideways   May 13, 2005

A little girl is crying
but mummy doesn't care
she sees her beaten body
and leaves her lying there

the 4 year old would mumble
and whisper in her sleep
the cliffs are calling for her
but never did she leap

At night the shadows haunt her
her nightmares come to kill
the little girl lays silent
...the baby lays there still

the midnight wind is shrieking
shes gripping at the walls
but still she keeps on slipping
...world watching as she falls

she screams out for a Saviour
she wails out to the night
all she wants is... someone...
A hand to hold hers tight?

A lady sits here crying
took 16 years to see
still no one sheds a tear
for that little girl in me

Dani xoxo
