So many

by Tainted Beauty   May 13, 2005

So many scars from the past,
So many tears I can’t erase,
So many hours alone,
With my pillow hiding my face,
So many times,
Things I wish I didn’t say,
So many things that time can’t heal,
So many things I can’t take away,
So many days wishing this was over,
Praying for someone to understand,
So many prayers unanswered,
I’m standing alone again,
So many drops of blood,
Dripping from me,
A silent scream for help,
A sign that no one seems to see,
So many things I know,
That if I had the chance I’d never change,
These memories will be with me,
As I slowly age,
No one quite understands why,
Why I would keep these horrible things with me,
But, if I didn’t have those memories,
Who else would I be?
