The Light Is Retracting As A Tease

Grey And Black Clouds

As I Back Into My Empty Corner
I Do My Best Not To Fall Apart
I Try Not To Let Others
See That I'm Putting On A Show
But As Far As They Can Tell
This Is The Only Me They Know
A Smile That Is All Fake
And Eyes That Never Tear
For I'm Like Everyone Else You See
Hiding All Their Problems And Fears
It's Not That I'm In Denial
About The Smiles That I Seem To Lack
But Lately Pain Is Taking Over
As It's Doing It's Very Best To Attack
Happiness Isn't Just A Dream
That People Receive In Fairy tales
It's A Realistic Wish For Some
That Always Somehow Manages To Fail
Black Is My World In And Out
So Come Inside If You Dare
