Disease of Tranquility

by Eden   May 14, 2005

Peaceful voices among the torrent of angry wails…
This song is found within silence.
A peace where none can quite compare
To the strength against the victims of violence.

Blood runs down the softest arm
Lands upon the ground…
This is the only song among tears
For there is no one else around.

Water rains upon the earth
And mysts rise up to blind…
Darkness pervades the deepest niche
Within your serving mind.

Where is the control of life?
The softness of time’s tone?
Only tears and blood is pacing
Everyone throws this stone…

And hit, what will you do next time?
Cry and wail some more?
I don’t think that this will help…
Life is an unheard roar.

So step forward and onward past time’s gate
Fill your mind with blight voices again.
Darkness helps to hide the scars…
But remember, it will not deplete the sin.

Sometimes your poems frustrate me Eden because, like with this poem, I just dont have the intellect or perception to comprehend them...but I can't stop reading them anyway, despite my failings.
