Now, when he stabs my heart, when he steals my soul and leaves me here to bleed, now, when he slaps my face, when he steps on my feet and wrings the tears from my eyes, i can walk away OK. i can tease in his face "It doesn't hurt, it doesn't hurt!" and, when she plasters my walls with lies, when she slaps the back of my head, and uses her vile words to wound me i can slip away all OK i can whisper as she turns her back "it doesn't hurt, it doesn't hurt!" i can tell myself "it doesn't hurt" as the blade sears my skin. i can walk away, blood dripping, it doesn't hurt. it doesn't hurt. 05/03/05
