My Diary

I still write in the diary you brought for me,
Every page is filled with how it used to be
But the new pages are filling up so fast,
With no mention, no recollection, of our past.
It's not that I've forgot you were there
It's not that I'm trying to forget, I do still care.

But my diary will be a ray of light
I'll write in it long through the night
I'll fill it with things I did that day,
Fun things that I've heard my friends say
I'll not write about my tears
I'll not write about my fears
It's so that one day when I look back
I wont read about the happiness or love I lack
I wont be able to see where I went wrong
I'll just think, back then I was strong.

My diary will be so empty of you
Empty of the things I'm really going through.
