My Best Friend

by Kirsten Ferguson   May 14, 2005

If it weren't for my best friend
I would be all alone
It would feel like the end
As I sat at home

Other people make fun of me
But not my best friend
She's the only one who sees
And really understands

She stays by my side
When I need her to be there
To each other we have never lied
For each other we will always care

If you have a million friends
You have not one to spare
If you have a best friend
Always keep them near

Be nice to them
Never lie to them
Or they may disappear

My best friend
Means the world to me
And I need her to know
I will always be here for her
No matter where she goes

I'll be there for her
All my life
Through sadness and sorrow
through happiness and strife

Be there always
Care always
Understand always

I love my best friend!
