Waking Up On the Right Side of the Bed

by Nat the dreamer   May 14, 2005

Everyone hates those bad days,
when you wake up on the wrong side of the bed,
Where you just want to sleep forever,
with your hands under your head.

But why should these bad days,
Cause us to frowd,
Our eyes have seen better times,
times when we're not sad and down.

So whenever your stuck in traffic,
or watching a bad tv show,
Think about warm hot chocolate,
after a day in the snow.

Think about when you use to wear pigtails,
Or got excited about ice cream.
Think about your first rollercoaster,
when all you could do was scream.

Think about waking up early,
and you have 4 more hours left to sleep,
Or bring out those old 1st grade valentines,
the ones you'll always cherish and keep.

Remember falling in love for the first time,
when now you see it as just a crush.
Think about those messy paintings,
when you used your hands instead of a brush.

So if your staying at work late,
or need to clean your room.
Take a moment in your day.
And think about what is special to you.

I promise you with all my heart,
you'll feel better in no time.
So suck it up , take a deep breath,
and have the time of your life.
