My heart, your home

by deadnalone   May 14, 2005

I was all alone,
Before you came along,
You took my fragile heart,
And fixed it with a song,

Once broken and shattered,
Torn and confused,
Glowing now, not battered,
And no longer misused,

Filled with love for you,
Like I've never had before,
Filled with feelings for you,
So strong and so pure,

You're just like an angel,
Sent to me from above,
Love so bright and soft,
And as soft as a dove,

All the times that I cried,
Have faded away,
I still feel some pain,
But not much today,

With your arms around me,
You holding me tight,
I can sleep a bit sounder,
In bed, every night,

I love you so much,
That every time you are near,
Butterflies fill my tummy,
Fluttering about without fear,

Just thinking about you,
Brings a smile to my lips,
I have not felt much better,
Much better than this,

All my insecurities,
Seem immaterial now,
Far away and forgotten,
Some way, some how,

And if I could hold you forever,
To be wrapped up in your arms,
Then at least for that moment,
I’d feel free from all charms,

I love you so much,
And now I'm not alone,
You have made me happy,
Made my heart your home.
