Little Girl

by --SlIpPin_AwAy--   May 14, 2005

I see her sitting there,
In that cold, dark room.
A notebook in her lap,
With her feelings, shes coming in tune.

I silently step in,
The floorboards creak and moan.
But she doesnt turn around,
She thinks that she’s alone.

I walk a little closer,
Just enough to see her face.
She looks so pale and empty,
There are no emotions I could trace.

She just sits there writing,
In her little black book.
But I noticed she was nearing the last page,
When I took a closer look.

Suddenly I want to cry,
I didnt want this girls life to end.
Ive seen this happen too many times before,
Her suicide note would soon be written.

Quickly I reached for her arm,
But saw to my disbelief,
She had hundreds of dark red cuts,
I knew I had to give her some relief.

I took her by the hand,
And pulled her up off the floor.
We ran to the end of her room,
And I opened up that door.

The rain began to stop,
The sun was shining through.
I whispered in her ear,
And told her what to do.

Slowly, she began floating to heaven,
Where she was meant to be.
Ive finally found a place,
Where this girl could be set free.
