What a generation

by Tainted Beauty   May 15, 2005

What a generation,
Though it’s the only one I know,
So many depressors,
Everywhere you go,
Cutters everywhere,
Attention’s all they need,
So whenever they get the chance,
They sit around and bleed,
The world is out of order,
Society’s going to crash,
No one’s happy anymore,
How much longer will this last?
Families turn on one another,
There’s no more love in the home,
So teenagers turn to depression,
Thinking they have to make it on their own,
There’s no supervision,
For kids who are growing up,
To change the course of their lives,
All they need is love,
No one’s there to talk,
Or to teach us right and wrong,
Siblings want to kill each other,
No one gets along,
What is the world coming to?
We’re all prisoners of the day,
Society’s crumbling,
And no one can get away,
Everyone has problems,
But we have to learn to deal,
The pain may fade,
But I promise that those scars won’t heal.
