Your turning thirteen today,
And I sincerely hope,
Everything goes your way.
We've had a lot of fights through the years,
But our friendship has made it through.
As it will for as many birthdays,
That we'll both go through.
We're growing up so fast,
And we don't even see,
How we've already been through five years together,
You and me.
I remember when we went to the beach together,
Before everything went bad.
Your mom was still living with you,
And we were never mad.
We had so much fun that weekend,
Just chilling on the beach.
We ran around at night time,
With the sand tickling our feet.
We had our first double date together,
And after all it was real fun,
Even though we couldn't see our movie,
Because we ended up being to young.
We almost started a business together,
And we almost went to jail,
We almost snook into a movie,
And we almost had our own yard sale.
We've cussed out Ashley's mom on line,
And we've walked up to my dad's store,
Everyday our friendship,
Grows more and more.
I almost beat up this chick,
For running her mouth to you,
Everyone was holding me back,
But I still managed to get through.
No one is ever gonna mess with you,
Without messing with me too,
Because girl I got your back,
No matter what you do.
We've blown up hot chocolate,
In your microwave.
We've stepped in cement,
Before it was paved.
We've hung out on my roof,
Enjoying the time together.
Those memories me and you have had,
Will be with me forever.
Remember that summer day,
When we chased your neighbor's cat,
Our hands waving wildly,
Swinging a baseball bat.
We've spent so many summers,
Together having fun,
And I'm never gonna regret,
Anything we've done.
We'd kill for a cookout milkshake,
Any day it was hot.
A good cold milkshake,
Really hit the spot.
We really have had some good times,
And we're gonna have so many more,
I'll lose count of all of them,
But hey who's keeping score.
I just wanted to remind you,
That I'm always here,
And whenever you need someone to talk to,
Know I'm always near.
Today is your special day,
And I want to say that I love you,
