What ever happened to the dreams
And the song we sing together
What happened to the hopes and joys
From a mustard hart, and beams from sky?

What ever happened to the hours on net
And listening to the gentle breeze blow
Our holding hands together and looking ahead
What happened to the heart to heart embrace?

What happened to the longing kiss from your lips
And a promise that you will never leave
What happened to the ring you bring
And the time you gave as a pledge?

Whatever happened to the whisper in my ears
And the hand holding my shoulder when down
What happened to all we ever shared
And the memories of one body now divided?

You opted to go, and i am left here alone
Whatever it is you want me to do, do tell me
I am certain that life will never be the same
Looking at all, am left to ask, what happened?
