Repeat

Repeat the same feelings over and over
I cannot help but write away this ongoing pain
I'm sorry I hurt everyone that I love and care for
I'm just sick of pretending that I will smile again

Repeat the same movements with the blade cutting through
Slice away at my skin for what seems like an age
In the end, though I try to resist, I succumb to it
Just another emptied heart on another diary page

Repeat the same words, that I will get past this
Pretend to you that I feel so much stronger
I have to be honest I'm falling away
I cannot carry on with this agony for much longer

Repeat the same poems all about the same thing
As I write words which delve deep into my soul
Tonight I will pierce my skin once again
I need this pain, I cannot get out of this hole
