You broke my heart[not finished]

You say you want me back
after a year apart
but what you don't understand
is that you broke my heart

I don't think I could ever trust you again
after the things you said
at night when I'm going to sleep
they resound inside my head

after 2 years you walked away
said "I've never loved you and I never will"
and what hurts the most
is that I love you still

but I have to be strong now
I don't want to ever hurt like that again
I can't take it anymore
this pain has to end
