One year ago

There was once this one day
Where I felt something different in some new way
That day was one year ago
You went away where no one wanted you to go.
Before that day, I never knew what it felt like to loose a friend.
It was all new to me
Something I never experienced or seen
You left us so fast
And you weren’t there anymore.
You left a lot of people’s hearts sore
And wondering what to do.
You left us memories of you
Like your laugh, your smile, and your jokes
I mostly liked your jokes.
They made everyone laugh
We’ll all remember those.
One thing I miss about you is,
You walking down the hallway
And me saying, “Hi Brad”
And you replying with, “Hi Tanya”
You were always so happy
I don’t think you even had a day at school that was crappy.
Why did you have to leave so soon?
Why so young?
I know if I could go back in time
I would be honored to take your place
Because A lot less people care for me
Like they cared for your sweet face.
