Tormented Cut

by Katie   May 16, 2005

She has wet cheeks and watery eyes.
Nothing is heard but the torment and lies.
What has she done to deserve such pain?
A body full of blood it no longer contains.

Praying each night that tomorrow will not occur.
When she’s all alone and in the bathroom everything is such a blur.
She glides the blade across her wrist with nothing to fear.
Nothing but death being near.

But that’s what she wants, that’s what she needs.
That’s what she is told, as she sits there letting herself bleed.
Creating a river of fears and lost dreams,
“It’s not that bad” she says, so it seems.

Another strike to the wrist,
This feeling she can not resist.
She can’t wait to hurt them as much as they hurt her.
She remembers the painful memories and what they were.

A broken fragile girl just laying on the floor.
Just waiting to be found when someone opens the door.
One cut, two cut, three cut, four.
She would never come back to this world, this girl was sure.
