A Mother's Pain

She sits there in silence
Around her the children play
Her heart breaks immensely
And there's nothing you can say

She has been hurt too many times
Too many wounds to heal
The images haunt her daily
The pain is just so real

She always wonders why
why did he hurt me again
Why does he shut me out
But let everyone else in

She just wants to heal
To find happiness at last
