Sustenance

Sustenance endfolded in the razor's edge
Bringing me back to sanity, yet I still teeter on this ledge
Faithless scars remind me of the twisted fate I endure
Wishing to feel that pain again, but at the same time, so unsure

Wondering if things were different, if I lived someone else's life
Would I resort to the disloyal pain concieved by a knife
I tried to conceal my lonesome thoughts, my utter solitude
But your prying eyes strip me bare; my conviction indecisive, weak, nude

You whisper words of disapproving hate, you judge by what you see
A scarred body and lamenting eyes is all that you picture of me
Inside lies a blackened rose, yet you see nothing but it's thorns
I already suffer from others' contempt, must I now embrace your scorn?

Hoping there is a way to mend all the damage that I've done
To stop my veins from flowing dry, before I come undone
But I guess this is what I deserve, the pain I feel...I made
Sustenance is all that remains upon this bloody blade

    Wow.. this poem is AMAZING.. its written with such feeling and emotion.. its excellent.. the flow was good for the most part.. sometimes it was hard to catch the rhymes because some lines were too long.. but overall still a really great poem

    O so so true...wow...took the words from my mouth. This is really deep and heartbreaking. But whateva thoughts are rammed into your head, you have to know that u dont deserve the worst or nething...
