Love me to Death

You were my shoulder to cry on
Whenever things went wrong.
So I'm left with nothing,
Because now you’re gone.

My pillow will be my new shoulder.
I'll cry my eyes dry each night.
I also have the comfort,
Of knowing it will never leave me.

Tonight my tears are for you,
With every drop a memory is lost.
I'll drown myself in a
Pool of times we had together.

Mend my broken heart with time,
Your tongue was the worst kind of weapon.
Aiming at my heart and tearing it down.
Nothing can do it as well as you.

You were the only one with the power,
The only one with the intention.
Sticks and stones will break my bones,
Your words will break my heart.

Did you really love me?
You said you loved me to death.
Is it your love that's killing me?
Whatever it was, your wish will come true.

So now that you’re gone for good
I'll try to forget you.
But everything reminds me of you.
I guess I'm better off dead.
