Bloody Sheets

Everything's gone wrong and my life is falling apart.
One thing leads to the next, it started with a broken heart.
In a blanket of lust, you covered me with your lies.
I'll change these sheets tonight with tears in my eyes.

A blade to my heart was your tongue to my ears.
Every word a scar, that won't heal over years.
You looked into my eyes, when you pulled the blade.
This was part of a game, I wish I never played.

His dark shadow stands over me, calling out the end.
Then he walked away slowly, taking with him my friend.
I hope she cuts his throat, so he would bleed.
Another person's pain is all I need.

When she leaves him, I hope he can hold on.
She won't turn back, she'll already be gone.
Now that I've gotten over it, I'll lay myself to rest.
Things will get better; I guess it's for the best.

The blood and tears from the sheets are washed away.
They are clean tonight and that's how they’ll stay.
The only thing left is the hole in my heart.
I'll look for a love, till' death due us part.
