Like a piece of glass

I never saw it coming,
Until it was to late,
Then I actually realized,
My heart was about to break,

I tried to fix our friendship,
And tried to make it last,
I really did try to fix it,
But it was like a piece of glass,

I got more hurt by trying,
It hurt more every time,
It was hurting so badly,
I knew I wasn’t fine,

I was falling apart,
And the pain was hurting me so,
But for some reason,
I couldn’t let you go,

So my heart is left broken,
It has to mend on its own,
Like a piece of glass,
Its betta left alone.
