Denying Myself

by Vito   Sep 28, 2003

My darling before I met you,
I have never felt this way.
And no one my dear before you, has ever heard me say;
Wherever I look you are the first one I see.
Whenever you are near, I sense your radiating purity.
Wherever I go, I see you,
Looking back at me,
I look to the ground in embarrassment.
But as my senses, I come too,
Are you nowhere to be found?
But wonder I what has my heart done.
It has filled me with this highly illogical feeling.
Bringing my knees to the ground in submission.
Your beauty is worthy not what I am of.
Where you walk flowers bloom,
My Columbian queen.
My heart makes me soft with this feeling for you.
Will my heart turn me into a pansy?
Will my sensitive side be exposed? Never
I will not leave myself open for heartbreak.
I will not speak till I know you feel the same way
