To get hurt and chucked away again

No chance I want to give you anymore
To hurt me and chuck me away again
Because I played long enough the fool
For you and me, it’s all only abasing
Maybe I needed a lot of time to understand
That I was just someone to fill your life’s breach
But this relationship’s sense is clear to me now

Some lovely words and kisses
And the cat will come running to you again
This time is over, painful but definite now
Never will I understand why I gave you even a second chance
To hurt and chuck me away again
Like an old and improper suit

The best way I found to hold my self-respect
Though it took long to understand
That I was only a padding
For your boring and useless time
Never want to be hurt again like that
Because this is all just abasing
To be short-changed and chucked away
