Eyes

If I never see your face again and the last time you looked in my eyes what did you see in me? Did you just see me looking right back at you did you see the truth? When I close my eyes and turn away do you see the tear fall from my face and the constant pain that’s eating me away? When I smile at you do you know its real? Can you see all the dark stormy clouds around me everyday or do I hide that too? Has no one ever told you that she’s not breathing inside. She smile and believes that soon she will wake up from this constant nightmare that haunts her everyday. She continually states that she is not broken and she is fine with no problems, but deep down she knows the truth and she knows that she needs help. She knows that she is not sleeping, still here and everything of yesterday is in her forever. Having it never go away. Afraid it will stay. She opens up and tells someone to hold her tight.....never letting go. Finally able to open up and tell them how she feels, but if you look in the eyes then you will see the truth....the pain that burns inside. The pain that never ends.
