Changed My Ways

by ntv650   May 17, 2005

You changed my face and I think I like it better now,
The scars and marks seem to have all dissappeared.

Instead of emptiness a shimmer hides in my eyes,
There isn’t raw skin caused by the endless tears.

My mouth makes a sound when it moves,
Rather than a hollow whisper like before.

And when I hear your voice I no longer flinch,
But turn to meet your gaze, kiss your subtle lips.

Because of you the mirror reflects a man of life,
Not the hopeless teenager, tainted by his romantic pursuit.

Short but good, as always!! Once again, keep up the writing. You write so well.
