She called for him with her serene voice, gesturing with angelic hands,
But he refused to believe that this beautiful love was his to keep.

And he found no sleep, for in her eyes was this love he long thought dead
Her words filled emptiness inside, he felt an emotion so sweet.

She wrote down all his pain and agony, how she would make it stop
Then sent all this to him in a letter by a purple dove.

He found the message in the morning,- sealed with her gentle kiss
Devouring line by line, there was honest affection calling out to him.

But his desires were conquered by fear of a past not easily forgot.
He took the letter threw it in the fire, pushed by hate that others caused.

So with him inside her heart, she lay her gentle head down to sleep
Waiting for a reply, dreaming about the nightmares he must’ve seen.

Her eyes despite the dark still found him, she wanted to bring him home
So she sat down beside him, but saw only her reflection against the lake.

Not giving into blissful peace, he gently removed her hand from his,
Told her about the worlds that had been born and collapsed under his feet.

How he couldn’t let her touch his heart, although she was touched by his…

    It's good and you wrote this well. Wish it had rhymed a bit but poems don't need to always rhyme. Very sweet poem. Keep it up buddy.
