Translucent Ghost

by ntv650   May 17, 2005

I don’t want to have that nightmare again,
Me standing in the same room as you and him.

He took your face by your chin, pressed together your lips.
You let him stroke your long hair, I watched you touch his chest.

You rested your head upon his shoulder, He sat next to you in bed.
All night I dreamt I were a translucent ghost, watching from the corner of your room.

Doesn’t matter now Because thats the way it is,
Imagine you were me, felt what I had to feel.

First of all, you fear this is the person you love,
No matter how hard you try, they’re always in your mind.

You went to bed, and now cant sleep at night
Because you toss and you turn. But without her you know its not right.

She is with another, and looks like their going to be a couple for life,
You’d love to beg to have her back, but your just too proud.

Now You’ve got to stand here while you try and pull yourself away,
Give up the life of a translucent ghost and move on somehow, someway.

wow. Very nice. You switched from first person to third person. That's cool. I like this one a lot. Sad but good. Very good.
