One Sane Thought

by EpithetPoet   May 18, 2005

You cant know the countless times
These feeble hands carried my heavy head
Put a number on every single hope
That they'd be strong enough to slice me dead

That every moment you see me smile
Is an eternity inside my own heart
Picking my infested brain to pieces
Tearing my sane thoughts apart

That every moment of every day
I can only seem courageous enough to cry
When every single part of me
Wishes that could be used to finally die

How every inch of my feeble being
Wishes to hug you all one last time
I fear my courage would wear far too thin
For me to exit the divinity's fine design

To all my friends, whom i love so much
Through every pathetic issue gone through
I know through my one last sane thought
I couldnt have made it without you

*My love to all those who have helped me through all the times i've needed them. You know who you are*

*every story has an ending, dont let this be your end.

i like the tribute. it has a powerful motif about it. depression is a motif we all seem to be shrouded in these days. its like a blanket that prozac, plavix, lexapro, and zoloft cant dent anymore.

i hope all is well. sorry im not much for exposition today. im really having a hard time focusing again. i hope your well.

i enjoyed the piece very much.
    thank you
