This Girl

by Harlequin[let me put you to sleep]   May 18, 2005

There is a girl who sits all alone
Who cries and reaches out, and is breathless prone
Her tears seem endless, her heart imploding
No one seeing her, hearing her, her faith eroding
Believed to cry herself sullen shattered alive, broken
Invisible; no one sees her, to her nobody has spoken
Her mind spinning around, tears falling again from her eyes
Thoughts of wonder fill her mind, would they see if she dies?
See the lonely that left her in despair
No, they would not, for her who would care?
Searching this cold black place for someone that will love
That will not hate her, which will want her and not shove
As in the end, she will find no one, her heart being thrown
More tears in her eyes have grown
Finding a sharp and large piece of broken glass
Deeply slitting her wrists, alas
As she dies slowly in her own blood
She thinks at least, no longer in her eyes will they flood
But the dead girl no one will see
And no one knowing this girl was me
