Narnie

by MistressMoonim   May 18, 2005

I thought you would last forever
Stay forever strong.
I bought time from you with kisses
Time was false and I was wrong.

If I could buy back time with wishes,
If I could and then some more,
We could run the streets together
In the steps we trod before.

We could speak the words I whisper
In the night when people sleep,
We could linger over mysteries
You would find and I would keep.

You have left a life of questions
On the compost of my own.
I will spend a lifetime seeking
For a moment I have known

When the walls had stopped their listening,
And the boys were in their beds,
With the toils that framed your daytime
Set aside for me instead.
