Pushing you away

Can you not see I'm numb of all feeling?
with every laugh, smile or touch its my heart you're stealing
I tried to hide all the things you've made me hope
you don't understand, pushing you away is how I cope
you saw my tired weak eyes stare you out
and you saw my angry hurt mouth pout
you didn't look any further than my sleepy sad smile
I really thought you knew me
I guess its just taken you a while
I hope you understand it now, I don't want to push you away
all I'm scared of is rejection
and all I want is for you to stay.
