To My Dad

by Broken Hearted Immortal   May 19, 2005

Things are wrong with the world today, some drunk driver almost took you away, they make me so mad, you being hurt make me so sad, you cant leave, this isn't good-bye, not your time, you may stuggle a bit, but you'll pull through, you always do, dont give in, you can make it, i will be there, soon enough, to help you be strong, through the day and all night long.

The heartache of watching a loved one fight for their life is truly among the worst their is. I had to go through a period of watching my died on life support and begging God to spare him.

My dad is alive, but he is not the same. I am grateful however that God answered my prayers and spared his life. Keep the faith!

Though this is more of a vent then anything it is still awesome. I love to read writings where it is more of a letter directed to a third party.

    Good Job!

Oh how sad! I wish your dad a great recovery. Drunk driving can cause so much pain for others. My friends dad was coming home from an AA meeting and was hit head on by a drunk driver. I have known so many people in these type of accidents including myself. I could go on for hours. I wish you and your family the best! Take Care! Brooke~
