Magic carpet ride

Before i heard the screaming
before i saw his face
i knew he'd gone to heaven
I knew he'd left this place

His whole life he was unhappy
He never felt secure
Always on the outside
Never really sure

He tried to live like normal
but his sadness was too strong
he went on feeling depressed
for 20 years too long

The medicine worked wonders
for a couple years
and he was completely happy
completely rid of tears

But his heart he got it broken
by a girl who promised love
and she left him empty handed
as she rose up above

He tried to live without her
but he was only sad
god had taken the only happy thing
that he had ever had..

So he told me of his plan
and i thought it was a joke
but he couldn't live a normal life
with a heart thats broke

So the gun he had beside him
had such a major part
as the magic carpet ride
that brought him back to his heart..
